Dumplings with Tofu, Glass Noodles, and Vegetables
The Tofu Phoenix Eye gets its name from its shape. In Cantonese, this folding style is called 风眼饺 (Fung Ngaan Gaau), which translates to "Phoenix Eye Dim Sum," because, when viewed from above, the dumpling resembles a steaming eye. We have reinterpreted this classic, usually meat-filled snack in a vegan version. The tofu, marinated with traditional Chinese 5-spice seasoning, gives the dim sum a unique umami flavor and provides a savory touch.
